Spark will consult with you to understand your idea and requirements. We understand that photonics visions are often long-term investments that require significant up-front consideration and we will work with you to make sure you are set up for success.
Once your idea is ready, we will get to work in the design of your photonic integrated circuit. As an independent design house, we are able to access the leading process development kits (PDKs) from a multitude of foundries and we will work with you to select the right flow for your design.
PIC design is a process of learning and we will be there with you to determine next steps on your design. We also offer training services to build your in-house design expertise. We strive to improve with every design and will integrate your feedback as we continuously improve.

WHO WE ARE
Spark Photonics is an independent pure-play dedicated commercial PIC design house based in the United States.
We are a team of photonics and optics experts with several decades of combined experience. Spark was founded by Al Kapoor, chairman of Syntec Optics in Rochester, NY, and Kevin McComber, MIT PhD in integrated photonics.
We maintain relationships across multiple foundries and design software providers.
Spark is based in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA.
